I'm a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics at the University of Pennsylvania, working with Dr. Yong Chen. I received my PhD in August 2023 from the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Washington, where I was advised by Dr. Marco Carone and Dr. Noah Simon. Before my PhD, I studied Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University, with a language citation in Spanish, and worked as a research associate at the Institute for Genomic Medicine at Columbia University.

My research is focused on nonparametric statistics, machine learning, and survival analysis. I am especially interested in statistical epidemiology and methods for assessing variable importance. Prior and ongoing collaborative projects include work in mental health, infectious diseases, and genomic medicine.
